bootleg sessions V.1 Tom LaMarche

this is pretty much how the movement got to where it is today, lamarche kills it, whether it be bmx or fixed.

26' fixed.

with all the recent changes happening to the relatively new sport that is fixed gear freestyle (fgfs), many have begun to question where the sport is headed, what with pegs, smaller wheels, fatter tires, etc. but after building up a set of mtx33's, without a doubt, 26' is the way to go, the feel to it is just incredible. many might say that by running smaller wheels, it loses the true feel to having a bike that youre able to commute on and trick on at the same time, but what sets the sport apart from its counterparts is the fixed drivetrain. with that being said, the only way it can lose its meaning is by slapping a freewheel on, but if youre having fun thats all that matters in the long run.

another trick track thursday post

Gnarhesh from TT put this up a while ago, thought it was pretty goofy.

Skate video of the week

In Almost: Round three, Almost skateboards showcased the skate scene's top riders of the time from Haslam, Sheckler, Lutzka, Mullen, Wilt, and Song. each skater's part was perfectly executed from the highly budgeted music soundtrack, to the excellent filming. this movie, needless to say, kicked serious ass and still remains as one of my favorite skate movies of all time.

trick track thursdays

spotted on the "action shot" forum on trick track. gnarly double wall ride, who cares if the lighting is a little meh, this shot rules!

Eighthinch freestyle parts

Eighthinch is a strictly fixed gear side company of wheel and sprocket run in Wisconsin. they've only been around for a year and a half but they've really gotten themselves off the ground lately and they recently discovered a change i'm demographic over the year. freestyle fixed has really gotten off the ground recently and companies are buying into the sport. especially Eighthinch, Kris from lockedcog posted this photo of the new BMX cranks, bars, and frame prototypes that they are soon to release.
